Join our yoga instructor, Jess, for a session of gentle exercise followed by a chat, cup of tea and a biscuit. Connect with others and boost your wellbeing. Sessions are FREE to attend and are designed to reduce isolation and loneliness and to make you feel great. The class takes place every Monday at 12:30pm at St Paul’s Church, Tower Hill, Sowerby Bridge. No need to book, simply turn up. Funded by the Calderdale Cares Partnership.
Monday
Yoga with Jess
Yoga can not only make you feel better physically – it can also make you well mentally.
Yoga offers a great, low-impact way to increase feel-good brain chemicals, which help decrease anxiety and improve mood. Join us for coffee and free yoga with Jess.
Classes are every Monday at 10:00 am. Refreshments are available & yoga mats are provided. Donations welcome.
TUESDAY
Open House
Research has shown that by interacting with others, we can train our brains to improve motivation and memory formation, whilst also protecting the brain*. Supportive social situations can result in us being happier, learning better, and living longer.
Every Tuesday from 10 am until 7 pm, the wellness centre is open to everyone for a brew and a chat. Come along for a cheerful Tuesday pick-me-up, meet like-minded people and be part of the Get Fit 4 Mental Wellness Family.

Free Play Sessions
Partnering with our neighbours, Little Monkeys Play-gym, we are able to offer FREE play sessions for babies and toddlers aged 0-4. Your children can play, whilst parents and carers receive informal mental health support from one of our trained professionals. Refreshments are provided and you can build connections with people facing similar struggles. Some funding is available for travel if travelling costs are a barrier for you.
These sessions are open to all parents and carers every Tuesday at 2:00pm. We are also offering a session once a month on a Saturday just for fathers. Funded by the Calderdale Cares Partnership.
TUESDAY
Sound Bath
A sound bath is a meditative practice incorporating music and sound. Said to encourage deep healing and balance on a physical and spiritual level, sound bathing is typically used as a way of managing anxiety by soothing the nervous system. It works by allowing true relaxation in a calming and comfortable environment, facilitated by the healing vibrations of sound.
Join us on Tuesday evenings at 7 pm to immerse yourself in the beautiful depths of the vibrations generated by bowls, gongs, drums and chimes.

Mini-Medics Training
Coming soon! During the summer holidays we are offering mental health awareness training to young people aged 9 – 15. This leaves them with an age appropriate understanding of mental health difficulties, what to do when we experience them and how to support our peers through difficult times. They also receive a recognised certification. More information coming soon! Funded by Calderdale Cares Partnership.

Suicide Intervention & Prevention Training for Professionals
We are rolling this project out starting with play-gym staff from across Calderdale. Do your staff know the signs of someone suffering with poor mental health or suicidal thoughts? Do they know what to do when presented with someone in this situation? This course offers free training to your staff on not just how to look for warning signs, but crucially, how to effectively intervene. We are currently applying for funding to extend this training to hairdressers, barbers, beauty therapists and tattoo artists and we are also designing a project for bar and restaurant staff too. Watch this space!
Programmes & Courses
At our organisation, we are proud to offer a range of free training courses that can help improve your skills and knowledge. We also have an amazing 8 Week Programme that can help you take your abilities to the next level.
8 Week Programme
Our unique and holistic 8-Week Mental Wellness Programme™ consists of psycho-education teachings, one-on-one therapy, personal training and nutrition advice from our trained professionals.
The Programme has been developed to support and educate people in order to overcome their personal difficulties. We support the person, not the problem.
Training Courses
We are passionate about education and raising awareness, that’s why we offer a range of free training courses, including ‘Loss and Grief’, ‘Suicide Awareness’ and ‘Managing Anxiety’.
We also run our ‘First Aid 4 Mental Health’ training sessions to support organisations and individuals.
